It was again second round clash, venue was different. This time it is Stanford the match is singles second round clash between the players Sania Mirza and Tatiana Golovin. Sania was at her omnious best, she took no time to pounce upon her opponent and before Golovin could try to recover she already lost the match 6-4,6-1. This win placed Sania in the Quarter finals where she will meet with Patty Schnyder. This is the story so far in the singles arena .
In the doubles the pair of Sania- Peer also zoomed into the Quarter Finals. The pair defeated Tatiana Poutchek and Anastasia Rodionova, 6-1, 0-6, 11-9 in great style. Although Peer had some difficulties but Sania came good and rescued the match.
So far so good, Sania. Now we expect both titles from you and for that we wish you lots and lots of luck.

It is Stanford Open and Sania is on fire. She has already beaten Japan’s Akiko Morigami 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7/5) in the first round of the $ 600,000 Bank of West Classic Tournament. Now she is in the second round of the tournament where she would meet with the French sixth seed Tatiana Golovin, who also reached to the second round of the tournament.
In the meanwhile the news has poured in that Sania has teamed up with Mattek in the forthcoming US Open for the doubles tournament. Stanford is giving opportunity to the players to warm up for the upcoming US Open.
It seems after watching the performance of Sania so far, that this tournament is providing Sania a perfect stage to ready her for the US Open.
We wish her all of our very best wishes for her forthcoming matches.

It was touch and go for Sania in the singles event Semi Finals but the positive aspect of the tournament for Sania was reaching in the Semi Finals after her injury. After second set she was drowned and literally out of the tournament. As i was writing this news for you somebody from my back yelled.
“Sania has won the tournament.”
In utter confusion i checked frantically and found that Sania has really won the Doubles crown at the Cincinnati, her pairing with Mattek did wonders. In the Final of the doubles round Sania and Mattek perfectly complemented each other and won comfortably over their rivals Alina Jidkova and Tatiana Poutchek
7-6(4), 7-5. The match was very exiting and it provided perfect entertainment and excitement to the fans .
I can say only one thing at this point, Keep it up Sania !!!

Repeating her feat as she did last year Sania reached in the Quarter Finals this year too, in the singles and doubles tournaments.
In the singles she defeated Varvara Lepchenko 6-2, 6-2. In the doubles event also Sania and Mettack won their fixture day before against Catalina Castano and Meng Yuan 6-4, 6-0.
It seems really true that now Sania is taking each match in a different perspective and that started to give results now.
Well Done Sania. Keep it up.

Sania smoothly sailed into the second round of the $175000 Cincinnati Open Tournament. She defeated unseeded American Abigail Spears 6-4,6-3.
After the match Sania was quite happy about the proceedings. With reference to her injuries and lay off of two and half month she said that the process of the recovery is still on and it will take some more time to recover fully. She is feeling 90% fit at the moment but it is difficult to perform certain specific movements on court till date. However she felt optimistic about the recovery by quoting that she is feeling much better than even the pre-injury period.
In this tournament she would participate in the doubles also and for that purpose she has teamed up with Bethanie Mattek of America.
At last the mixed doubles duo of Sania and Mahesh Bhupati crashed out of the Wimbledon 2007 tournaments in the second round.
We should give Sania more time for the recovery from the injuries which she received in the Dubai Open Tournament. She has not yet reached to the optimum level of fitness yet, but the performance of Sania taking into account the level of her injuries is commendable.
However the Wimbledon 07 is over for Sania and she is now gearing up for the Rogers Cup of Canada starting on 11.08.2007. This tournament would be played on the hard surface and many great players like Justine Henin,Maria Sharapova and jelena JankoviK etc are taking part.
We hope Sania would be physically fit as compared to the present time and also we would like to wish her lots and lots of luck and best wishes if you permit me to do so….

After advancing to the third round, Sania-Sahar lost in their third round match against the Us- Australian team of Lisa and Samantha.
Now there is only one hope for Sania is left in the Wimbledon 2007 and that is in the mixed doubles arena where Sania is teamed up with Mahesh Bhupati.

Once again the same story, Sania could not cross the hurdle of the second round in the Wimbledon. In her second round match she was not able to keep her cool against her Russian opponent Nadia Petrova and lost the match 2-6, 2-6.
If we go down and analyze the factors disturbing Sania , then they come down to three main factors being the fitness, consistency on the courts and her serving. The fitness is yet not to the optimum level and she requires couple of months to regain the fitness level of the preinjury period.
The consistency on the court has improved a lot as compared to last year according to the people close to her. Now the most important part comes in the picture and that is the serve. This is also the area of concern, Sania is yet to be consistent enough to hold down to her serves. She has to improve upon this area of concern and that is must if she wants to be remembered as a great player in the World of tennis. Sania also well aware of this fact and trying to improve on this count.
Now Sania is out of the race for the Singles Crown and her hopes are alive only in the doubles arena, where she has teamed up with her old friend Sahar Peer of Israel. The Duo came out on Friday and won their first match. Now Sania once again in the second round and our best wishes are with her to do well in the future matches.

Sania is scheduled to play her first round match today against Yaroslava Shvedova who has already beaten Sania in the finals of the Bangalore Open. Weather has played a spoilsport till now with the training and practice schedule of Sania and she could not get good and long sessions.
We are sending our best wishes for her match(if Rain God permits).
Go Sania ! win the match for us…..

After bowing outof the French Open Singles in the second round and ganing some points to move at the 50th place in the WTA rankings earlier this week, Sania again faultered in the second round of the DFS Classic Tennis Tournament in England. She lost to Mara Santangelo of Italy presently ranked 8th in the WTA rankings.
It seems saniya requires much more practice before the start of the Wimbledon tennis championships later this month. The time is very short and we can only extend our well wishes to her.
