The Australian Open tournament is scheduled to start from 14th January. Time left is very short for Sania to get a new partner for the said event. However, she will participate in the singles and the mixed doubles event of the tournament. In the mixed doubles tournament Sania has teamed up with the fellow countryman Mahesh Bhupathi. There may be one blessing in the disguise for Sania and that is she would be able to concentrate more on her singles matches.

After the much needed rest Sania entered and posted her authority in the opening session of the 2008 Hopman cup challenge where she has teamed up with fellow countryman Rohan Bopanna. Very recently she was shown the door in the Kremlin Open too. She was not able to convert her breakpoints and gave away the match to the young Dutch girl easily. It was very sad.

It is really hard to understand the mechanism of loosing the game Sania plays. Till now Sania was sailing smoothly but all of a sudden she lost her rhythm and tempo.
The match was progressing well all of a sudden Sania started a series of double faults and unforced errors against her opponent Flavia Pennetta of Italy, and finally lost the match at 6-4, 6-4.
Please Sania wake up now and win some big titles for us.

After getting much needed rest, Sania is back again with a bang. She has advanced to the Quarter final stage of the tournament not facing any big danger. However Australian Casey Dellacqua tried to give her some shock before being beaten by Sania in 3 sets 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the second round.
The Indian tigress is hungry and on a prowl for the titles. She has well learned her lessons from her previous tournaments earlier this year.
Let the Indian flag fly high, kudos to Sania. Well done.

At last Sania also realized that her participation in the doubles tournaments affecting her performance and she would exercise caution in the forthcoming tournament about that.
